The Unvired Infrastructure 1.0 has also achieved SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that the Unvired Infrastructure 1.0 can be successfully deployed on the J2EE-based engine of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) 7.0 offering to govern the development of applications that exchange critical data with instances of SAP Business Suite software.
The Unvired Infrastructure allows enterprises to “unwire” software applications and transfer server- and desktop-centric processes to mobile devices like BlackBerry® smartphones and mobile phones running on Windows Mobile. The Unvired Infrastructure is an end-to-end infrastructure that deploys on SAP NetWeaver and mobilizes business processes such as workflow applications (e.g., employee self services, such as leave, travel and expenses), sales force enablers (e.g., sales orders, online pricing, merchandising and Surveys), and field service enablers (e.g., service Orders, tickets, etc). The Unvired Infrastructure is readily available for use with BlackBerry smartphones and Windows Mobile-enabled mobile phones.
The Unvired Infrastructure also allows enterprises to deploy rich functional applications such as mobile asset management and direct store delivery on ruggedized devices. Its stack comprises the middleware, the client runtime, and the Visual Studio development tools that allow rapid development of mobile processes.
